 Guidebook and Ordnance Survey map booklet to walk the Ridgeway National Trail. The 87-mile (139km) route through southern England from Avebury in Wiltshire to Ivinghoe Beacon in Buckinghamshire typically takes five to seven days to complete.
This is a low-level waymarked route suitable for all abilities and for year round walking. The guidebook details the trail in both directions, (the main description is west to east). 
 The guidebook comes with a separate map booklet of 1:25,000 scale OS maps showing the full route. The route description links together with the map booklet at each stage along the way, and the compact format is conveniently sized for slipping into a jacket pocket or the top of a rucksack.
The guidebook is packed with details on points of interest, a trek planner gives at-a-glance information about facilities, public transport and accommodation available along the way. Following a ridge of chalk hills through the Chiltern Hills AONB and North Wessex Downs AONB, the Ridgeway takes walkers through five counties and five thousand years of history.
