Formed in 1988, Blur found their biggest success during the Britpop focused mid-nineties, an era that they helped create, but didn’t let define them. From early hits like There’s No Other Way to the zeitgeist building 1994 album Parklife, they reinvented themselves many times, consistently coming up with some of the most cutting-edge music in British rock history, and proving themselves to be one of Britain’s most important groups.
This book is the story of four guys, who together, created music as iconic as it was trendsetting. Damon Albarn may have found phenomenal success with the world’s first animated group Gorillaz, but when he was joined by Graham, Alex and Dave, Blur’s music chimed with a generation, and was of course unmistakably British.
