 Every story has an introduction so I guess our story should start there. My name is Lylla Masters and I am the President of The United States of America. I look nothing like Margaret Thatcher or Mother Theresa, more like Jada Pickett-Smith only slightly less African American. As our planet struggled to discover space travel, the age-old question as to whether or not we were alone in the galaxy was answered. We aren’t. Our tiny piece of the universe was in jeopardy and we were ill equipped to comprehend that. Fortunately for us, Commander Zane and his Warriors came to our rescue. The Warriors arrival, request for sanctuary, and warning about the Bacan’s was just too coincidental. I mean how could we be sure that these Warriors weren’t the real threat? They could be involved up to their gorgeous necks. We believed, in our self-importance, that we could repel all threats to our way of life so the Warrior's offer to help and their petition for sanctuary were denied The Bacan’s finally arrived and systematically one city after another was annihilated. People were being slaughtered by the thousands daily, as the Bacan mother ship orchestrated the bombardment of our planet from the relative safety of space. I could see the writing on the wall and didn’t like the inscription. We were being eradicated; we needed the Warriors. Having been in politics a long time, I understood you always had to pay the piper in the currency of his choice and I could no longer sanction misplaced pride.
