 Love Stroke is a book of poems – words wrapped up in love – for my beloved mother who at the age of 79 suffered a severe stroke on May 23rd 2017.
Her much hoped for recovery never happened.
Stroke-struck and wheelchair-confined was never the life I imagined for my always glamourous, stylish and beautiful mother.
Nor could I have ever imagined that I would create this book of poems for her.
So, Love Stroke is a journey through words wrapped up in love, loss, grief, forgiveness and healing for mother and child. It is a journey in which shadows were uncovered.
