Welcome to this brand-new book containing 100 crosswords for children, using British English throughout.
The book is split into three levels of difficulty:
- 30 x easy crosswords
- 40 x medium crosswords
- 30 x hard crosswords
The size of the grids and the difficulty increases through the book, starting with small 7x7 puzzles using relatively straightforward vocabulary and clues, moving onto 9x9 grids and harder words for the medium puzzles and then finally 11x11 grids with some more testing vocabulary and clues for the hard puzzles.
These puzzles are recommended for children aged 8-12, however whilst difficulty is carefully calibrated (we have many years experience supplying crosswords to some of the UK's leading children's publications) please note this is a guide only and any individual child could find them easier / harder than average. 
The book includes instructions at the start, and full solutions at the back. It is recommended that when your child gets stuck, they either discuss the clue with you or alternatively, upon looking up the answer, try to commit the word to memory if it is new to them and in this way use the puzzle as an educational / vocabulary-building exercise that is designed to be fun at the same time.
